On Husky Giving Day, the ������Ƶ community rallied to support opportunities for law students, who are playing active roles in local and global change while generating innovative solutions to real-world problems.

In just 24 hours last month, the law school received 80 gifts totaling almost $47,000. Gifts to ������Ƶ ranked in the top 15 across the campus community.

Donations to the Clinical Law Program Fund, Law Justice Scholarship, Public Interest Law Association Fund, and School of Law Student Support Fund supported critical public interest and clinical law work, scholarships for underrepresented students and emergency student needs.

“We do not take your generosity for granted,” said Elizabeth Porter, Interim Toni Rembe Dean and professor of law. “Training a new generation of transformative lawyers and legal professionals is at the core of our mission, and we could not do it without your support.”

Gifts to ������Ƶ to prepare the next generation of lawyers, scholars, leaders, activists and policymakers are always appreciated throughout the year.

Many thanks to our challenge donors – alumni, faculty and friends who led the day with gifts to our four featured funds to inspire others’ additional support. Bridge (BA '72, JD '76), Interim Dean Porter, Matt LeMaster (JD, '97) and Karen LeMaster (BA, '89), Professor Kim Ambrose (BA '84, JD '89), Greg (JD ’85) and Val Gorder, Jan Levy, Professor Mary Hotchkiss, and Thomas Tobin.
