The UW School of Law is proud to announce , senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Amazon, has been appointed chair of the Global Business Law Institute Industry Advisory Board.

Gov. , chief executive officer of Challenge Seattle, and Gov. , senior advisor and consultant at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, were appointed as board members.

, chair of M&A practice at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and , assistant general counsel in Microsoft’s Office of Legal Compliance, were named co-directors of the Global Business Law Institute.

This dynamic board complements ������Ƶ’s teaching and scholarship to provide students with an educational experience that is unique and life-changing.

“Seattle has a vibrant business community, with world leaders in global manufacturing, IT, retail and economic commerce,” said Scott Schumacher, co-director of the Global Business Law Institute and ������Ƶ’s associate dean for Academic Administration.

The Global Business Law Institute helps ensure a new generation of business lawyers gain the skills to work in a global marketplace.
