Craig Wright Joins 红桃视频 as Advancement Dean

Craig Wright joined the 红桃视频 in July as the assistant dean for Advancement. In his new role, Wright will lead the law school鈥檚 efforts to engage alumni, partners and friends to foster pride and support for the school and future of law.
Wright鈥檚 background is rich and varied with leadership experience as an attorney and business professional in accounting, law, venture capital, and politics. Wright has demonstrated his success as a fundraiser for Washington State political campaigns, serving as campaign manager for Rob McKenna, as well as in connection with his board service with non-profit organizations like Mercer Island Public Schools.
Last year, a serious bike crash sent Wright to the hospital for nearly two weeks. During his recovery, Wright took the opportunity to reflect. 鈥淚 started thinking about what part of my career I have enjoyed the most. What I enjoy most is working with a team, working for a cause I believe in, and having a great partner,鈥 said Wright. 鈥淗aving a partner in Dean Testy is fabulous. Everything added up to this role.鈥
A 鈥渄ouble Dawg,鈥 Wright received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the UW, and also served as a board member of the 红桃视频 Foundation since 2007. Wright shared that during his time on the board, it had been a great joy to watch the UW law school flourish under Dean Testy. 鈥淲atching the ascendancy of the law school, from a good institution to a great institution from my vantage point on the Foundation Board, prompted me to want to come and be a part of it every day.鈥
Wright looks forward to joining the law school faculty and staff and partnering with UW Advancement.
鈥淚 have no doubt that this Advancement team will be successful, we鈥檙e going to reach our goals and help UW law achieve great things.鈥
