Before joining ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, Travis was a senior attorney for the nonprofit Southern Environmental Law Center based in Virginia, where he spent over a decade in the organization’s Land and Community Program working in environmental and transportation law and policy and advocating for more sustainable, equitable and resilient communities. Travis has a wealth of experience working with nonprofits, community groups, and government agencies, and was a longtime member and former chair of the Charlottesville region’s citizens transportation advisory committee.

Travis holds a B.A. in journalism from Arizona State University and a J.D. and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, where he also served as president of the Virginia Environmental Law Forum and as articles editor for the Virginia Environmental Law Journal.

In his free time, Travis is an avid distance runner and also enjoys traveling and hiking.
