Persuasive Writing

Eric Wolff is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and former chair of the appellate practice at Perkins Coie LLP, chief counsel for litigation at The Boeing Company, lead appellate lawyer in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana, and partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in D.C. He is a philosophy and writing graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and went to law school at the University of California at Berkeley. He clerked for William Fletcher on the Ninth Circuit, Stephen Williams on the D.C. Circuit, and Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court. He has previously taught at George Mason University and Pepperdine University law schools, as well as the National Advocacy Center. He has completed two Ironman triathlons and several more marathons and is an accomplished guitar player and unaccomplished fly fisherman, painter, sports car driver and woodworker, among other hobbies.
