2024 Entering J.D. Class Profile
The incoming class at the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ is as dynamic and diverse as the fields they will one day impact. Out of a pool of 2,495 applicants, 179 students were enrolled, each bringing with them a wealth of experience, backgrounds, and talents that will enrich our community.
This cohort includes veterans from all branches of the military, legal interns, teachers, paralegals, engineers, yoga instructors, Uber drivers, ski instructors, nonprofit advocates, and even a circus performer. They have demonstrated leadership as student government presidents, mock trial captains, and club leaders while also contributing to their communities through organizations such as AmeriCorps, Teach for America, the Montana Innocence Project, the Seattle Clemency Project, and the Civil Rights Justice Center. Several students have interned with federal public defenders, served as interns for Congressional or Senate offices, or worked with nonprofits like the Women's Law Center of Maryland.
Fluent in languages including Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, German, French, Bengali, and Italian, many students are children of immigrants or immigrants themselves. They have also studied and lived abroad, adding a global perspective to their legal aspirations.
In addition, they are musicians, athletes, podcasters, mentors, and volunteers, embodying creativity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to service.
Together, their unique journeys and shared passion for making a difference will significantly shape their impact at ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ and beyond.
