Overview

The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ (ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) have partnered to create a 3+3 Program, allowing students to complete their baccalaureate degree and Juris Doctor in six years (three at UAF and three at ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) rather than in the usual seven years.  This accelerated pathway provides qualified UAF students with priority consideration for admission to ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, helping them fast-track their legal education.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the 3+3 Program, UAF students must:

• Complete at least 90 undergraduate semester hours, including all general education requirements by the end of their third year (six semesters).
• Choose a major and complete at least 18 semester hours within that major (including 6 at the 300-400 level) with a grade of C or better.
• Obtain written approval from UAF verifying that they meet graduation requirements for early entry into law school.
• Apply and be accepted to ºìÌÒÊÓƵ through its standard admissions process.

Admission Consideration at the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ

• Students should apply for rolling admission during their third year at UAF, with materials submitted no later than March 15.
• Priority consideration is given to applicants who meet or exceed the previous year’s median LSAT score and undergraduate GPA of the entering law class.
• All applicants are subject to a holistic admissions review, including character and fitness considerations. ºìÌÒÊÓƵ reserves the right to deny admission to applicants who otherwise meet or exceed the GPA and LSAT medians if, in its sole discretion, the applicant is not otherwise prepared or eligible for admission.
• If not admitted, students must have a plan to complete their undergraduate degree at UAF.

Tuition & Financial Aid

• Students will pay UAF tuition and fees for the first three years and remain eligible for undergraduate financial aid.
• Upon matriculation at the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, students will pay law school tuition and fees and receive law school financial aid. Aid from both institutions cannot be combined.
