Biography

Choky R. Ramadhan is a Ph.D. candidate at the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ with Graduate Certificates in International Development from UW Evans School Public Policy & Governance and Ethics from UW Department of Philosophy. He is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law University of Indonesia (currently on study leave). His research interests are criminal justice policy and previously has worked on and published in anti-corruption, drug policy, comparative criminal justice, and judicial reform. He has been working with Indonesian government agencies, international organizations, national NGOs, and Universities to provide research, training, legal and policy advice on those topics in Indonesia since 2011. Choky obtained a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from the University of Indonesia in 2011 and a master of Asia and Comparative Law (LL.M.) from the University of Washington in 2014.

Research

Choky employs a mixed method in his dissertation to (1) measure the benefit and cost of enforcing Indonesian anti-corruption laws, and (2) understand the practice and factors that contributed to the collection of monetary sanctions from the crimes of corruption offenders.
